In this version, a four-carat elongated kite-cut diamond of E color and VVS1 clarity sits adjacent to a four-carat ruby — the cool brilliance of the diamond and the deep saturation of the ruby in dialogue across the finger.
Neither stone is the setting for the other. That is the whole idea.
