The Verso Ring is built on a single design principle: two stones set side by side, each given equal architectural presence. Neither is the setting for the other.

This is that principle made once, to one brief. A four-carat step-cut diamond of E colour and VVS1 clarity sits beside a 6.01-carat Paraiba tourmaline from Brazil — the rarest and most saturated source of the stone, and the reason the piece reads the way it does. The diamond is all structure and white light; the Paraiba is all colour. Set in 18K yellow gold, the warm metal holds the two extremes together.

A commission begins with a conversation. We discuss the stones, the proportions and the setting, then produce the piece in our partner atelier over a period of weeks — with sketches and progress images shared along the way.

Sizing, custom packaging and dedicated insured delivery are included. Certification for the diamond, and independent documentation for the tourmaline, are supplied with the finished piece.

This piece was made as a private commission and is shown here as a record of the work. A comparable ring can be commissioned — stone selection, carat weight and metal are chosen with you, and pricing follows from the stones.

Paraiba tourmaline of this size and origin is genuinely scarce, so availability is discussed case by case. To begin, use the form below or write to info@danaasam.com.

The Stone

Why Paraiba.

Paraiba tourmaline gets its colour from copper — a trace element found in almost no other gemstone — which is what produces the electric blue-green that no sapphire or emerald can imitate. The original Brazilian deposits in Paraíba state are the reason the variety has a name at all, and they are largely worked out.

At 6.01 carats, from Brazil, this is a stone chosen first and designed around second.
